Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Tools
Cookies
Cookies are small files that your browser stores at a website’s request. The Site and the services we use may set cookies to measure traffic, remember your preferences, and help us understand how well our outreach is working.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
The Site is hosted and protected by Cloudflare. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and page views. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites. Cloudflare may also process technical data, such as IP addresses, to deliver the Site securely and protect it from attacks.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect standard internet log information and information about how visitors behave on the Site. This information, including your IP address, is sent to Google and used to produce reports about Site activity for the Campaign. We do not combine Google Analytics data with personal information you give us, and we do not use it to identify individual visitors.
You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
Meta Pixel
We use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms, Inc. (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). The Meta Pixel helps us measure how well our Facebook and Instagram ads work. It also lets us show campaign messages on those platforms to people who have visited the Site. The Meta Pixel uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you visit and actions you take on the Site. Meta may combine this information with other information it has about you, under Meta’s own privacy policy.
You can control how Meta uses this information in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings: https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences

How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We share personal information only when:
- You give us permission to share it.
- Our service providers need it to do work for the Campaign, such as hosting the Site, sending emails or text messages, processing forms, or running analytics. These providers may use your information only to provide their services to us.
- Our attorneys, accountants, treasurer, auditors, or other professional advisors need it to advise the Campaign.
- The law requires it, including to comply with campaign finance rules, a subpoena, a court order, or another legal process.
- We need to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Campaign, our supporters, or the public.
We may share summary information that does not identify you, such as total visits to the Site or the number of volunteers in a neighborhood.
Service providers we use
We use these service providers to run the Site and the Campaign. Each handles your information only to provide its service to us:
- Cloudflare hosts and protects the Site and stores the information you submit through our forms, such as sign-ups, yard-sign requests, and volunteer requests.
- Brevo manages our email list and sends our emails, including the thank-you message you receive after you sign up.
- Donorbox processes contributions on a separate donation form, under its own privacy policy.
Contributions
The Site does not process contributions directly. When you choose to donate, the Site links you to a separate donation page run by a third-party payment provider. That provider’s privacy policy and terms govern any information you enter there, including your payment details.
When you contribute to the Campaign, California law requires us to collect your name, address, occupation, and employer, along with the amount and date of your contribution. California law also requires us to report this information publicly if your contributions to the Campaign total $100 or more. Contribution limits and rules for Moreno Valley City Council candidates may also apply.
Volunteers
If you sign up to volunteer, we use the information you give us to contact you, schedule volunteer shifts, and organize campaign activities. We share it only with campaign staff and volunteer leaders who need it to coordinate those activities.
We welcome your questions and comments. We share your messages only with people on the Campaign who are best able to respond. We may keep your message for a period of time or delete it. Either way, we use your email address and message only as described in this Privacy Policy.
If you give us your email address anywhere on the Site, we may add you to the Campaign’s email list. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any campaign email. Please allow a few days for your request to take effect, since some messages may already be scheduled.
Third-Party Links and Social Media
The Site may link to other websites, including our donation page and our social media pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of websites we do not control, and a link does not mean we endorse that site. Please read the privacy policy of any third-party site before giving it your information.
Anything you post on our social media pages, such as on Facebook, Instagram, or X, is public and is governed by that platform’s privacy policy and terms. Please be careful about sharing personal information in public posts and comments.
Data Retention
We keep your personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including any time required by campaign finance recordkeeping laws. When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal information. However, no website, internet transmission, or storage system is 100 percent secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information you send us.
Your Choices and California Privacy Rights
You can:
- Unsubscribe from email by using the “unsubscribe” link in any campaign email.
- Stop text messages by replying “STOP” to any text from us.
- Ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. We will delete your information unless the law requires us to keep it, such as contribution records.
California’s “Shine the Light” law (California Civil Code Section 1798.83) lets California residents ask whether a business has shared their personal information with third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes. The Campaign does not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. If you have questions about this, email [email protected] with “California Privacy Request” in the subject line.
We will respond to privacy requests within 30 days of receiving them.
Children
The Site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, please email [email protected] and we will delete it. We encourage parents and guardians to supervise their children’s online activities.

The Site is operated in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may be different from those in your country. By using the Site, you agree to this transfer.
